Shop on Koja was founded in 2016 with the aim of connecting Nigerian artisans to a larger market beyond Nigeria and Africa through online marketing. The founders Mr Sylvester Onye and Mrs Chioma Onumba Onye Who were born and raised in Aba and Anambra, saw the possibility of leveraging on technology to bridge the gap between Nigerian artisans and the world at large.

In trying to promote made in Nigerian goods, the company has identified Aba as a key area that requires urgent attention. This is because in Aba, there are highly gifted artisans who would engage in excellent production work but lack the very basic means like capital, equipment and in most cases, a platform to showcase their products. In response to this, we have will be providing these artisans with all the necessary help they need (including but not limited to digital and traditional marketing) to showcase their products to the whole world and have access to a much bigger market. We want to give made in Nigeria fashion products a platform to reach people all over the world. We believe so much in the craftsmanship and talents in Nigeria and we think the time has come for them to get the international recognition they deserve.

We have products that are spread over different categories like women, men and kids on a platform that makes for a good user experience.
